The Wellness Studio!

So, you may have noticed that we have been talking about a place called “The Wellness Studio” lately. Don’t worry, we’re still in the same location, we’ve just expanded! Calling the location as a whole, The Wellness Studio, allows us to be inclusive and not leave anyone out when talking about it.

When we opened last April, Encompass Therapeutic Massage, Hairitage Salon and Revive Massage & Wellness (Sarah Heinonen) were occupying the space. Most of you are familiar with us! I loved sharing space with them, but we had a lot of time that wasn’t being occupied, so I decided to try and fill it, while at the same time heading towards my dreaming of having multiple wellness providers in one location for ease of access and convenience.

Since June, we have added FIVE new people! Some of them are my direct employees and some run their own businesses. I wanted to go over who is with us so you don’t miss out on what’s going on AND you know exactly what we have to offer!

Of those five, three have been direct employees of mine. Most of you have met our newest therapist, Diane. She started in March, then we got shut down with COVID. So really, she started in early June. She learned the Trigger Point Therapy, but her passion is in helping you relieve stress through relaxation massage. She will add in the Trigger Point when she feels it is necessary. Recently, we added Raindrop Technique to her service offerings! If you know what Raindrop is and want to book an appointment, you can HERE! Bonus, it is $10 off through November 21st!

We also added another part-time receptionist to our staff! If you see a new face, Annette will be filling in when Trina is out of town and may add hours as we do. Give her some grace, as she is a newbie!

And third, we are letting you in on a secret!! We are adding a third massage therapist in December!! Caroline is trained in neuromuscular massage and Trigger Point Therapy (like Nikki!). She is moving to the UP from Chicago and we can’t wait to meet her! Stay tuned for more information on her soon.

The fourth person we added is Bradley Erkkila, D.C. He owns Erkkila Chiropractic. We have been absolutely loving having a chiropractor in the space. If you want to learn more about Dr. Erkkila, check out his blog post here, or head to his website, www.erkkilachiro.com. We have heard nothing but great reviews and we love him too! If you have been wanting to find a great chiropractor, we have one here!

Last but not least, Julie Haataja, with Thrive Myofasical started in October! She will be working Monday mornings and is a wonderful myofascial release therapist! She has trained under John Barnes and has taken most if not all of his seminars. Some of them twice! She is very knowledgeable and is trained as a nurse as well. I especially have loved her for her work with women’s health! I believe, 100% that working with Julie during my pregnancy with the twins was one of the biggest reasons that I had such a wonderful pregnancy and delivery. You can contact her at 906-231-1839 to book an appointment.

So there you have it! That’s what’s happening at The Wellness Studio! You can now find us on Google and we are working on getting a website up and running that directs you where you need to go if you want to get in contact with one of us.

And I want to thank each and every one of you for being on this journey with me and helping me make my dreams come true. I hope this serves our small community and makes as big of an impact as I can see it making!

Much love,

Nikki
